MCS Publishes In Energy & Environmental Science Gas bubble evolution on microstructured silicon substrates

The newest MCS paper has been published in the prestigious and influential journal Energy & Environmental Science.

This work is the result of MCEC-financed projects*, and with the collaboration of PoF (Physics of Fluids, University of Twente) and FMG (Fluid Mechanics Group from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid).

It is a fundamental study of successive gas bubbles formed at silicon substrates during electrolysis and pressure-driven supersaturation.  We provide a better understanding of the processes involved during bubble evolution with the ultimate aim to  improve the efficiency of solar-driven water splitting reactions.
