Background

Christian studied Applied Physics at the Saxion Hogeschool in Enschede from 2001 – 2005 and received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in 2005. During his studies at the Saxion Hogeschool his first internship of five months was at the Low Temperature division at the University of Twente in 2003, designing a automized test setup for characterizing valves. The second internship was an Erasmus study exchange at the Ingeniørhøjskolen Odense Teknikum in Odense Denmark in 2004, where subjects like acoustics, optics and project management were accomplished. His final assignment was done at Thales in Hengelo in 2005, creating a test setup for a FMCW-RADAR with DDS.

Work

In August 2005 Christian started his career at the BioPhysical Engineering group in the Hogekamp building at the University of Twente. As technician he was responsible for the development of optics, electronics and software for the AIDS in Africa project (affordable HIV staging). In 2007 the group moved to the Zuidhorst and was split up into a new group Medical Cell Biophysics. In December 2010 MCBP moved to new lab facility and offices in Carré. In the meanwhile Christian became responsible for multiple projects like Instant Count, CTCTrap and general support to the other projects within MCBP.
