Multi-Modality Medical Imaging (M3I)

In current practice vascular pathologies (both stenotic and aneurysmatic) are mainly treated using minimally invasive procedures, coined endovascular procedures. The vascular imaging track of the M3i group focuses on improving several aspects of the clinical workflow of endovascular treatments based on the use of (multimodality) medical imaging. This ranges from preoperative diagnoses to peroperative treatment decisions and postoperative management of follow-up. The links below provide background about several projects:

Microcirculation visualization with photoacoustic imaging and laser speckle contrast imaging

In vivo blood flow quantification with echoPIV

In vitro assessment of hemodynamics in customized aortic repair

Improving the Durability of Endovascular Aortic Stent-grafts (IDEAS) project

In vitro assessment of the SUPERA stent for treatment of popliteal aneurysms

CFD equivalent of invasive FFR measurements to predict treatment success

CFD based decision support for multifocal stenotic disease in the femoropopliteal artery
