Optica Student Paper Award for 2 IMS members

During 25-28 July 2022, the Optica Advanced Photonic Congress took place in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
The Advanced Photonics Congress is an international event, held every year in a different location, that covers the latest advancements in optical materials, optical signal processing, optical communications and integrated optics.

In the Novel Optical Materials and Applications (NOMA) category, Zeinab Eftekhari won the Optica Student Paper Award for the paper entitled “Spatial mapping of light-induced displacement in on-chip coupled piezo/photodiodes”.

In the Optical Devices and Materials for Solar Energy and Solid-state Lighting (PVLED) category, Mathis Van de Voorde won the Optica Student Paper Award for the paper entitled “Fabricating High Aspect Ratio Front Contacts for Solar Cells by String-printing”.

In the same category, Shweta Pal made it to one of the finalists with the paper entitled “Optimizing Free-Space Luminescent Solar Concentrator Façades for Building-Integrated Photovoltaics”.
