Hello! My name is Kai and I am currently the Commissioner of Educational Affairs of Study Association Arago for Applied Physics. During my board year I learned a lot about how things work around the university and also within the faculty. During this time I noticed that there is quite a gap between students and the faculty, whereas they can mean a lot for each other. I already have quite the connections within Applied Physics but I want to extend this further within the faculty to hear from as many students as possible what their needs are and how the faculty can work to improve on their needs.
My main focus point will be the well-being of students. A lot of students suffer from quite a lot of study-related stress and that influences their mental and sometimes even their physical health. I want to look for ways how the study programs can work together with the faculty to improve this and make the university a better place for all students!

Hallo! Mijn naam is Kai en ik ben dit jaar de Commissaris Onderwijszaken van Studievereniging Arago voor Technische Natuurkunde. Tijdens mijn bestuursjaar heb ik veel geleerd over hoe dingen werken binnen de universiteit en vooral ook binnen de faculteit. Ik heb gemerkt dat er nog best wel een gat zit tussen de studenten en de faculteit terwijl ze wel veel voor elkaar kunnen betekenen. Ik heb behoorlijk wat connecties binnen Technische Natuurkunde maar ik wil dit nog verder uitbreiden binnen de faculteit om zo van zoveel mogelijk studenten hun behoeften te horen en hoe we met de faculteit kunnen samenwerken om aan die behoeften te werken.
Mijn voornaamste focus zal het welzijn van studenten zijn. Ik heb gemerkt dat veel studenten last hebben van studiegerelateerde stress wat negatief kan zijn voor de mentale en soms ook de fysieke gezondheid. Ik wil manieren zoeken hoe opleidingen samen kunnen werken met de faculteit om hierop te verbeteren en om de universiteit een betere plek te maken voor alle studenten!
