Bente te Loo

Dear members of the Faculty Council and students of Science & Technology,

My name is Bente te Loo and I am currently in B2 of Technical Medicine. Since I started studying at the UT I have learned many new things, and I am motivated to learn many more. Currently, I am already a student member of the faculty council. I think becoming a member of the Faculty Council again would be a great opportunity for me to apply my learnt skills to continue to make the process of learning and developing better within our faculty.
My previous experience included being a member of the GSA in high school, being a member of commissions in my student association, and joining in on module-evaluations of the SVC. Being a member of the faculty council has taught me important things about the way things are handled within the faculty, how decisions are made, and what we value as a faculty. Coming from barely knowing a thing, I think it’s safe to say I’ve gained a lot of knowledge and developed new competences, but there’s undoubtedly more to gain. The past year, our faculty faced many challenges. I would love to implement and advance my skills in another academic year in the faculty council. I believe my experience can be a helpful tool in making the transition to a new council as smooth as possible, as well as keeping involvement in the council high.
I am determined to share, discuss and debate perspectives on matters that the Faculty Council covers. It is important to me that students and their experiences get vocalized as much as possible. Having a hand in improving the quality of education in our faculty at the UT is something I am committed to do my best for. Thank you for considering me and I hope to become a meaningful representative.

Kind Regards,
Bente te Loo
