Hi!
My name is Max Rietberg, I am a PhD candidate in the Multi-Modality Medical Imaging (M3i) group. I’m 25 years old, live in Enschede and studied Biomedical Engineering. In my spare time, I often read, game, and watch movies or bake something sweet with my boyfriend, who is also a PhD candidate at UT.
I know how to make my voice heard, be it through committees like the education committee during my studies here, or through activism such as the recent strikes, climate protests, and feminist marches. In the coming years, I want to ensure that early-career researchers (junior staff, PhDs, postdocs) are represented well, and their voices heard within the faculty council.
When it comes to discussions about for example workload, quality agreements, and budgeting in the faculty council, I will defend 1) a healthy work-life balance, 2) better representation, and 3) greater transparency. The increased workload we’re all experiencing is not just a result of the current Dutch government, but also of the historical financial challenges within our faculty. These issues demand attention, and as a young researcher, I bring fresh energy and new ideas to help tackle them!
Hopefully I can count on your vote!
If you have any questions, feel free to email me or message on Teams :)
