Dear TNW Colleagues,

I’ve journeyed from international student to study advisor, gaining insight into every facet of TNW. Now, I want to transform that experience into action on the Faculty Council (2025–2027).

Eight years ago, I arrived at the University of Twente as an international student. Since then, I’ve navigated roles from Biomedical Engineering and Psychology student to semester coordinator(AT), international relations officer(SEI), admissions officer(BME), and study advisor for Advanced Technology and Nanotechnology. A journey that has induced the ability to think both systematically and with a strong focus on people. I apply that mindset every day in my work: listening closely, thinking ahead, and acting as a connector between students, staff, and leadership, I balance big-picture strategy with daily realities - always centering people.

My Three Priorities

  1. Bridge Vision & Practice: Turn leadership goals into concrete, day-to-day actions.
  2. Invest in Well-Being: Boost morale by supporting mental health, fair workloads, and a caring culture.
  3. Foster cross-functional collaboration: Unlock collaboration across education, research, finance, and HR by clarifying roles and opening channels.

As a semi pro artist and stand-up comedian, I know how to read a room, connect diverse groups, and turn challenges into opportunities. My storytelling and quick-thinking fuel innovative, practical solutions.

My versatility is my strength. I have been part of education, strategy, planning, and student support, and as the only non-European study advisor within TNW, I bring a unique ability to switch perspectives. I am quick to recognize where systems fall short, and I take initiative to propose practical, sustainable solutions, that serve both individuals and the broader faculty. I do not just ask where the gaps are, I work to close them. TNW is a faculty built on innovation. I believe that by improving how we connect internally, we can lead by example and make our faculty not only future-ready, but future-shaping.

Warm regards,
