Carin Krijnen-Smid

My name is Carin Krijnen-Smid (57), I am married and have 4 children. I am an enthusiastic sportsperson who enjoys playing tennis and running.
After finishing my bachelor’s in economics and linguistics I worked in several industrial companies.
I gained experience in administrative and organizational aspects of our faculty over the past years.
Since 2008 I have worked at the International office, part of the Centre for Educational Support (CES), and in several research groups in the faculties EEMCS and Science & Technology.

Starting 2015 I have worked full time as a Management Assistant in the XUV Group within S & T. I handle HR and finance activities, organize workshops, and manage calendars for the group, among other tasks. This role is crucial for maintaining an efficient workflow and supporting the group’s academic and research activities.

I would like to represent the voice of the support personnel. I believe that the perspectives and contributions of management assistants and other support staff are vital to the overall success of our faculty. I am committed to advocating for the needs and concerns of my colleagues, ensuring that their voices are heard in the decision-making process.

I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the success of our faculty.

Best regards,
Carin
