Energy, Materials and Systems Launches New Promotional video Showcasing Innovations in Superconductivity and Cryogenics

The Energy, Materials and Systems (EMS) group of the Faculty of Science and Technology has just launched a new promotional video. It is the result of the effort of many EMS members and PhD students and was produced by Pollus Fornerod (UT communications consultant) and Anna Kario of EMS. Marcel ter Brake, the group leader, is very proud of the outcome and grateful for the hard work of his team.

The video highlights the group's main research themes, superconductivity and cryogenics. EMS investigates materials and conductors, key technologies, cryogenic and superconducting systems for applications in the energy transition, in Big Science and High-Tech industry. The video also showcases the impact of their research on society and industry.

We wanted to create a short video that could convey the complexity of our research in an understandable way and still would not take more than a few minutes. It should be appealing as a first impression for website visitors," said Marcel ter Brake. "I am very proud of our team's efforts and creativity. The video is a fantastic way to introduce our work to a broad audience.

The Energy, Materials and Systems group is one of the research groups at the University of Twente and focuses on developing new technologies that contribute to a more sustainable world.
