Tristan du Pree appointed Professor of High Energy Physics
As of 1 January 2023, dr. Tristan du Pree is appointed by UT as Professor of High Energy Physics, a special chair that is part of the cluster Energy, Materials and Systems (EMS). The appointment of Tristan is supported by the High Energy Physics Foundation (Stichting HEF) and was previously filled by Prof. Bob van Eijk for more than 20 years. Tristan is a particle physics researcher at Nikhef, the National Institute for Subatomic Physics (Amsterdam), and part of the ATLAS project at CERN. Apart from teaching in the Applied Physics MSc programme, Tristan will further strengthen the links of UT/EMS with Nikhef and CERN.
