At the STW annual congress that took place today in Nieuwegein, Haishan Cao was nominated for the Simon Stevin leerling award. His poster is titled ‘Micromachined cryogenic cooler for cooling electronic devices down to 30K’.

This award is for the PhD student whose poster best demonstrates to companies and investors how the STW research in question can be applied in the long term. In a two-rounds selection, the jury first made a short list of 6 candidates and ultimately the best 3 candidates were chosen by the jury to present at the STW congress.
