Biography
I studied Technical Medicine at the University of Twente and obtained my Master’s degree in 2021. Currently, I work as Technical Physician at the Department of Psychiatry in the Rijnstate Hospital, where I focus on non-medical interventions (including ketamine, rTMS and ECT) for patients with a treatment-resistant depression.
Research interests
Despite proven successfulness, the working mechanisms of the treatments for severe depression are poorly understood. We want to study these using EEG and EEG-TMS. Hopefully this will enhance our understanding about depression which is essential to improve treatment.
