Biography
In march 2018, I graduated as a medical doctor at Radboud University in Nijmegen. I started working on the psychiatry department in Rijnstate hospital in Rijnstate. In January of 2019, my training to become a psychiatrist commenced. In 2020, I started working as a PhD student in the Clinical Neurophysiology department and Rijnstate Hospital.
Research interests
Next to my clinical work, a special interest grew in performing research in the neurophysiology of psychiatric disease and treatment. In my project, I aim to identify risk factors for and treatment targets against the development of cognitive side effects in electroconvulsive therapy in severely depressed patients. Also, I want to elucidate the mechanisms of cognitive and treatment outcome of electroconvulsive therapy.
