BMPI

BMPI welcomes two new members

BMPI welcomes two new members. During summer, Gerrit Held, a master student biomedical engineering, joined BMPI for his masters assignment. He will be involved in the development of a new hand-held photoaocoustic imaging system. Part of his work will be performed at Esaote in Maastricht.

On the 1st of October, Pim van den Berg, joined BMPI as a PhD student. Pim studied applied physics at the University of Twente. After his master’s assignment in the Molecular Biophysics group, he now joined BMPI for a project on photoacoustic imaging using multiple wavelengths for clinical applications.

For more information about the projects involving hand-held photoacoustic imagers for clinical applications, contact Prof. Wiendelt Steenbergen (w.steenbergen@utwente.nl).
