On the 7th of March, Chiel Grijsen (BME) finished his projected in the Biomedical Photonic Imaging group of the University of Twente. He successfully defended his master thesis regarding a specific clinical application of photoacoustic breast imaging. Chiel was the first student to start with this project and he made a thorough and creative start with the project. Therefore, his work was awarded with an 8. The project will be continued by Peter Schutte (BME). Chiel is now MSc in Biomedical Engineering but continues his education at the University of Twente to become a physics teacher.
