21 October 2011 - Michelle Heijblom of the Biomedical Photonic Imaging (BMPI) group won the Best Presentation Award at the 2nd Congress of the Dutch Society for Technical Medicine (NVvTG - Nederlandse Vereniging van Technische Geneeskunde). Michelle presented her research on breast imaging using photoacoustics in a talk entitled ‘New clinical measurements with the Twente Photoacoustic Mammoscope.’
The NVvTG Congress is an annual event and was held this year in Kasteel Woerden. The four themes that received attention were: The Brain, Imaging in Oncology, Movement Disorders and The Heart and Lungs.
