Reimagining Women’s Health: Stage-Based Design for Unveiling the Nuances and Complexities in Dynamic Life Journeys

Design for women’s health, which is often overlooked and generalised, requires holistic yet nuanced approaches to uncover intricate interplay between biological stages of womanhood and the myriad of daily experiences and activities that shape women's lives. I work on developing not only health technologies, but also staged-based design methods and tools, to help unveil complexities inherent in multiple biological milestones such as diverse trimesters of pregnancy, cyclic rhythms of menstruation, and fluctuations during different stages of menopause.

We first need to revolutionise our mindsets to deal with dynamic, challenging, and unique health experiences of women. It is crucial to foster open and meaningful dialogues and create dedicated and just solutions that empower women to navigate both their health and life journeys with autonomy, esteem, and sensitivity.
