Anke Lenferink wins NRS SAB Best Paper Award 2020

Dr. Anke Lenferink (department HTSR, Faculty BMS) was awarded with the Best Paper Award 2020 from the Stichting Astma Bestrijding (SAB) for her paper ‘Exacerbation action plans for patients with COPD and comorbidities: a randomised controlled trial' (ERJ 2019). Anke has conducted this research in collaboration with Medisch Spectrum Twente Enschede, Canisius-Wilhelmina Ziekenhuis Nijmegen, and three hospitals in Adelaide, Australia. She received this award during the 12th Young Investigator Symposium of the Netherlands Respiratory Society.

Anke feels honoured: "I am very honoured and happily surprised to receive this award. It is a nice and valuable recognition of our research into self-management interventions for patients with COPD and other chronic conditions."

The SAB Best Paper Award for the best research in Asthma/COPD is presented every year to a young investigator who performed his research in a research institute or hospital in the Netherlands, or to a Dutch investigator who performed his research abroad.
