BIOGRAPHY

Postdoctoral researcher (PhD graduation November 14, 2018) at the University of Twente in the research group Biomedical Signals and Systems and part of the Personalized eHealth Technology program working on behavior change interventions for physical activity and dieting in the Pride & Prejudice project under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ir. Hermie Hermens. During my doctoral studies I worked under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Vanessa Evers in the research group Human Media Interaction on the COMMIT project: Sensor Based Engagement for Improved Health, specifically on intervention strategies for user interaction.

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice aims to generate new scientific knowledge and innovative technology, including new frameworks for behaviour change, systems to monitor remotely health parameters and behaviour, and design approaches to develop interventions that persuade people to make healthy choices.

I investigate ways to tackle chronic disease prevention through careful intervention design. I explore how we can motivate people to inherently change their behavior (such as eating or exercise).
