The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) is a public-private partnership between the European Union and the European life science industries. Their core goals are to translate health research and innovation into tangible benefits for patients and society, and ensure that Europe remains at the cutting edge of interdisciplinary, sustainable, patient-centric health research.
The future IHI opportunities include persistency in the treatment of chronic diseases, development of practical guidelines and recommendations for using real word data/real world evidence in healthcare decision-making, improving clinical management of heart disease, user-centric technologies and optimized hospital workflows for a sustainable healthcare workforce, and clinical validation of biomarkers for diagnosis, monitoring disease progression and treatment response.
With these draft call topics, IHI provides interesting opportunities for health, (bio)medical and medical technology-related research projects. These opportunities are relevant for researchers at both Radboudumc and UT, and offer possibilities to strengthen the collaboration between the two organizations, in line with the intended strategic collaboration between Radboudumc and UT.
Therefore, Radboudumc and the TechMed Centre of the UT are organizing a joint online IHI information session on Monday the 29nd of January 2024, 10.00 – 12.00.
During this online information session, you will among others be informed about:
- What is IHI and what can it offer to you;
- How to join an IHI consortium;
- How to submit IHI call ideas;
- The individual topics from the future calls 6 and 7.
Furthermore, there will be an opportunity to digitally meet Radboudumc and UT colleagues who are interested in the same call and work on related and complementary research topics.
