Sustainable Game Night

Fiction is one of the most powerful cultural products. Since the very start, humans always shared stories to explain the world and share their experiences and emotions. Today is no exception, and cultural mass-production factories such as Hollywood movie companies, publishing houses, and online platforms like Netflix are considered the most powerful story makers. Fictional stories are not only entertainment, but moralities and world views are inscribed inside them. Further, stories are based on consistencies, meaning there is a logical relation between the events it narrates. However, how does modern fiction deal with climate change? And even more, how does it treat the logical consistencies that a narrative need towards the unexpected events that climate change is characterized (e.g., extreme temperatures that appear in one day difference or storms that reveal themselves in one hour)? But even more importantly, what does the moralities inscribed inside these modern stories say about the Anthropocene, and what type of reflection do they allow us?

Organised by Green Hub, the Sustainable Game Night.
Through this informal event the participants are encouraged to learn about sustainability, while using their creativity and engaging in different games.
