MSO is the student symphony orchestra of the University of Twente. Led by our passionate conductor Hanrich Claassen, we embark on a musical adventure each year, studying and performing two captivating programmes. Our concerts are a testament to our dedication and love for music.
As an orchestra, we showcase a diverse range of programmes, from symphonies to film music. We also have the privilege of collaborating with choirs and soloists for many performances. But it's not just about the music; the members of MSO share a common bond beyond the rehearsal room: a passion for enjoying a refreshing beverage after a job well done.
Open rehearsals offer you the unique opportunity to experience the thrill of playing with MSO firsthand. If you're a symphonic instrument player, we invite you to join us for one of our initial rehearsals of the season. If you enjoy playing with us and if there is room in the instrumentation, you can sign up to be a part of our musical journey for the rest of the year.

Mark your calendars for the open rehearsals on September 11th and 18th, from 19:30 to 22:00. Join us in the Agora, a room located in the Vrijhof (De Veldmaat 5, 7522 NM Enschede), as we create harmonious melodies together.
