What is Art?
A question often asked in the modern art world. Not a question we will answer with this exhibition, however. A question we will give an answer to is 'What is Art by Industrial Design Engineering students?'.
In the ExhibID - the yearly exhibition organized by, and for Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) students - artwork made by IDE students at the University of Twente will be exhibited from the 19th of June until the beginning of September.
Every member of S.G. Daedalus (IDE's study association) receives the opportunity to participate in this annual exhibition. They can make art in whatever form, shape, medium or material they want, and on whatever topic they want, be it study related or not at all. They can submit work they have already made earlier, make new artwork, showcase work made for their study or a committee, or something completely different.
Every piece of art will receive a special place around the exhibition room, wherever it can be best highlighted how amazing it is.
This year, to connect all the artworks together, a central theme is chosen. This overarching theme will mostly be visible in the lay-out between the works and the exhibit-design. This year the theme is 'Murder Mystery'.
So, if you are interested in seeing what the diverse community of IDE-artists came up with, want to solve a murder mystery, or are just interested in an exhibition of cool artworks, come around and see!
