Code of Conduct

The PE-NUT code of conduct is intended to ensure respectful behaviour between attendees of PE-NUT events to keep it fun for everyone. It is up to each individual to be familiarized with the rules set in place here. These rules are to be enforced by various penalties, which will be decided by the board. At each event a person of trust will be present to enforce rules and be a point of contact if attendees need assistance.

  1. Although the consumption of alcoholic beverages is common in P-NUT events, we do not condone drunken behaviour and over indulgence. It is up to each individual to know their limits and ensure proper behaviour.
  2. We stride towards environmentally friendly events, so we expect participants to do their part and not litter. Also, if possible, trash should be separated.
  3. We expect attendees to treat each other with respect. Therefore, we do not allow discriminatory language at our events. This includes racist, sexist anti LGBTQI+ and antisemitic language.
  4. We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable at our events. Therefore we expect our attendees to mind others personal space and comfort level. Don’t make others feel uncomfortable. Don’t make unsolicited advances (verbally or physically) on others. Don’t harass others. Don’t act unlawful.
  5. We do not condone violence in word or action. We do not accept screaming or insults of others. Physical violence is prohibited.

The PE-NUT board will decide over which measures will be taken after an incident was reported. This depends on the severity and frequency of infringements. The following penalties are possible:

  1. Verbal confrontation with the P-NUT board, followed by a public apology and personal action towards people who were wronged, if needed.
  2. Exclusion from certain P-NUT events, like parties, excursions, P-NUT day, etc.
  3. Exclusion from all PNUT events.
