14:30-16:00 | Workshop Practical Tips to stay mentally healthy and distress (theme PhD Well-being, by Sabine Janssen) We all have those moments that we feel stressed and tired. To some extent this is normal, and even efficient. When pressure becomes overwhelming, this can turn into a burnout. Burnout can lead to months or years of unproductivity and has a devastating effect on your quality of life. In this case, prevention is the best solution. Unfortunately, most people only realize this far too late! In this workshop we will discuss what may put you at risk and important warning signs. It's not all bad news though, there are plently of ways to create a more healthy balance. We will try these out together to help you determine effective ways to protect yourself, and people in your environment. |

Parallel Workshop 2: LinkedIn (Alumni Network UTwente) Do you want an easier way of finding jobs and to make yourself more attractive for future employers? Then you should definitely use LinkedIn! Joe Laufer from the UT Alumni Office will provide a workshop about how you can use LinkedIn to find relevant persons or companies for your research or career and also how to make your profile more professional and appealing! It is advised to already have a LinkedIn profile in advance. |

A certificate of attendance will be given to all participants who register and attend. It is calculated that the activities in the program equal 0.20 European Credits (ECs).
ORGANIZERS
P-NUT passes the borders of faculties, departments and even universities by bringing doctoral candidates with different backgrounds together to share their experiences and help each other to grow and become more efficient in their work. Our main objectives are to bring people who share similar interests together in both a professional and informal way, to inform them on the important aspects that might affect or benefit their careers as scientists and share and defend the rights of the PhDs at the UT. These objectives define the three main goals of P-NUT: connect, inform and represent the doctoral candidates of the University of Twente.
