The Dutch Engineers Alumni Network (DEAN) of TU Delft, TU/e, UTwente, and Wageningen launched its activities in 2014 and has communities in the USA, the Nordics, Canada, Australia and Spain. The aim of this network is to build valuable 'engineering' communities outside of the Netherlands.
Fellow TU alumnus Stefan Ghita has volunteered to be the host of an informal get together in Melbourne:

Location EY building (8 Exhibition street)
This event is part of the concept 'Event-in-a-box' which allows alumni all over the world to host informal get togethers with the help of our alumni offices. During this summer, at least 10 alumni gatherings will be organised all over the world: from Mexico City to Melbourne!
This time we will add a fun networking game to the box and we have a photo competition. The group with the best photo will win a 'Box-deluxe' for the next event: a box filled with extra yummie Dutch treats.
Please bring some drinks: we will make sure that there are some Dutch snacks!
