Invitation Symposium Fundamentals of the Future

C.T.S.G. Alembic will organize a symposium this year. The symposium’s theme is Fundamentals of the Future and the event will take place at the University of Twente, on Tuesday 25 April 2017. The day will concentrate on important developments within the sector of Chemical Engineering that contribute to a sustainable future. The theme is implemented by four subthemes: nutrition, energy, society and health. For every subtheme, a lecture (in English) will take place. On top of that, one of the lectures will be given by Ben Feringa, who won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2016.

The symposium will be attended by bachelor and master students of Chemical Engineering, but naturally the symposium is accessible for all those who are interested: students from other studies, alumni, people from the industry et cetera.

Besides the four lectures, also workshops are organized. These workshops are aimed primarily at students, but in the event of many interested participants an alternative program for alumni will be organized that takes place during the workshops. You can select the option of your preference in the registration form.

The symposium committee of Alembic cordially invites you to participate in this event. You are welcome from 8:30 AM and around 17:00 (5 PM) the day will be closed festively with a drink. The contribution for alumni-members is set to €10. The contribution for regular alumni and other non-members is set to €20. Please note: the number of participants is limited. Also, a simple meal will be provided for those interested. If you wish to make use of this opportunity, you can select this option in the registration form.
