UT/TU Online Alumni Event - France

If getting together in-person isn’t possible, let’s meet virtually!

On Thursday April 30th at 20.00hrs you are invited to join alumni from both your own city and other parts of France as part of a special online event and borrel for our DEAN* communities in the country. The interactive evening programme includes brief updates from the universities, followed by a short talk by TUD alumna Dr. Ir. Nadine Bongaerts.

Nadine is a synthetic biologist who is bridging the world of science with business & society. She currently works as post-doctoral researcher on the development of a novel drug screening method to accelerate the discovery of antibiotics against tuberculosis at INSERM in Paris. During her online talk Nadine will share how synthetic biology is the next ‘industrial revolution’ and provide details about her next job for a start-up developing synthetic foie gras!

Per tradition, our gathering concludes with a virtual borrel (BYOB) where you and fellow alumni living in Paris, Toulouse, Lyon and other parts of France will be mixed with each other to maximize interactions and stimulate conversations! Make sure to also bring some chips or baguette avec fromage.

Why are your Alumni Offices organizing this online event? Alumni networks such as ours can be extremely useful resources for tapping into fellow alumni for advice and support particularly during crisis periods. The new online event format has been developed to enhance local connections between alumni and is an addition to the existing channel the LinkedIn Group DEAN France and newly city based WhatsApp Groups.

To join this event register here so that further details can be shared. Please note that we have a maximum capacity of 100 participants for this activity – if necessary a waiting list will be created (registrations are handled by TU Delft Alumni Relations)

Unable to attend but still interested in being added to your local alumni whatsapp group? Let us know also via the registration form.

Note that this is part of a series of DEAN events planned over the next few weeks in locations around the world.
