Research Consent  

As a participant in this event you will be asked to answer a series of questions, or participate in a creative or visualization exercise. The aim of this is to gather anonymized data that will be used in a future publication seeing to answer the following central research question: How can guided experiences along urban green infrastructure enable reflection on effective climate change adaptation measures?   

Please note:  

  • Participation in this event will have a physical component of touring the locations of different green infrastructure projects in Enschede.  
  • Your participation is entirely voluntary. You may decline to participate, withdraw from the event, or withdraw your consent for your data being used in the research at any point in time. You do not need to provide any reasons for your withdrawal or decline, and there will be no negative consequences should you do so.  
  • Your personal data will be anonymized before it is used by the researchers; you will be identified only by the type of role you registered as (e.g., a researcher, a student, etc.) The University of Twente, following the GDPR privacy law, will ensure the privacy and protection of all your personal data. Your data will be stored securely on UT devices for up to 10 years. The anonymized answers you provide to researchers during the event or the art or visualizations you produce will be used in a future publication. They may be re-used during subsequent research or publication.  
  • There will be no compensation for your participation, but lunch, networking opportunities, and all required physical materials will be provided to you at no personal cost.
