Lab on a chip systems (discontinued - now Chemical MSS)

Chair: BIOS

IMPORTANT NOTICE

February 2023 is the last moment to start the specialisation of Lab on a chip. Students who look for a specialisation of Lab on a chip can go to the specialization of Micro Sensors and Systems with a profile of Chemical Micro Sensos and Systems. On-going master students can still continue their study and can read the information below as a reference for selecting courses.

Introduction

The BIOS Lab-on-a-Chip chair (“Miniaturized systems for biomedical and environmental applications”) aims at the research and development of Lab-on-a-Chip (LOC) systems. It is our mission to:

  • Further the knowledge and understanding of nanofluidics and nanosensing
  • Bridge the gap between users from physical, chemical, biomedical and life-science field.
  • Develop new micro- and nano-technologies for Lab on a Chip systems
  • Demonstrate the potential of LOC applications
