New scientific knowledge, technological advances such as AI, and a more diverse student population require universities TO ADAPT CONTINUOUSLY.
At the same time, educational policy changes and internal quality processes demand vision and innovation in teaching and learning. This context creates a growing need for educational leaders, academics who can shape educational vision, drive innovation, and lead change across programmes and faculties. That’s why the University of Twente and the University of Groningen co-organise the Educational Leadership Programme (ELP).
Programme Overview
The Educational Leadership Programme is an intensive 14-month course for academic staff who are ready to take a leadership role in education. Participants engage with topics in educational science, leadership, and change management, while working on a real educational challenge connected to their faculty or institution. More information can be found in this brochure.
Application & Admission
The ELP is open to experienced academic staff from the University of Twente and the University of Groningen. Participation requires faculty endorsement. The next application round and full details are provided in the ELP brochure or can be obtained from the programme coordinator.
The ELP Alumni Network
Participants who have completed the ELP have developed their educational leadership knowledge and skills. They have shown to be able to lead educational innovations at the programme level and higher. They can and want to contribute to the further development of education at the University of Twente and the University of Groningen. Examples of challenges that ELP-alumni have worked on are ‘lifelong learning’ and ‘future-proof education’, amongst others.
ELP alumni can support you in your educational innovation. If you have an educational challenge for which you would like feedback, a sounding board or additional ideas and suggestions, please contact the coordinator of the ELP.
