Transfer from Bachelor to Master

Transfer to Master's Industrial Design Engineering programme

Graduates of the Bachelor’s programme in Industrial Design Engineering have automatic entry to the Master’s programme of Industrial Design Engineering (M-IDE). Please consult the master programme website for more information. Depending on when you want to start your Master's programme, the application procedure is different.

  • If you want to start in September or February, you have to register in Study Link. You don’t have to follow any of the other steps in the UT admission procedure.
  • In you want to start in another month (except June, July and August; in those months it’s not possible to start a Master’s programme) you will receive an email requesting information about your plans after finishing the Bachelor’s programme. Based on this email, make sure to fill out the webform. Student Services can then transfer your enrollment from Bachelor to Master as of the first day of the following month. You don’t have to apply in Study Link or follow any of the other steps in the UT admission.

Please note
You need to be graduated before you can start in the Master’s programme. The bachelor-before-master regulation is in place (see Enrolment | University of Twente). In some cases you may already start with master courses before the graduation, under condition that you are enrolled in the Master’s programme at the moment the exams of those master courses take place. Please discuss this with your study adviser.

Transfer to another Master’s programme

A degree from the Bachelor’s programme Industrial Design Engineering may give you (conditional) access to other Master’s programmes. The transition matrix shows which Master’s programmes are available after completion of the Bachelor’s programme. Please contact the concerning programme for more information about admission and enrolment.
