The research in Additive Manufacturing (AM) which is also known as 3D printing within the Advanced manufacturing subgroup is concerned with questions related to how to design, develop, and manufacture products for different industrial applications. The group has long experience in the area of AM as well as its know-how of determining process parameters of new manufacturing processes into a systematic evaluation process and focuses on an in-depth understanding of the relationship between manufacturing processing conditions, structure, and properties of functional materials.
