Stepping into 2024, we are getting ready for an exciting expansion with the introduction of the Sport Interaction Lab! With most of the area already in use, the final installation (the interactive climbing wall) is expected to be concluded at the end of February.
According to Dees Postma, Assistant Professor at the university and contact person for the Sport Interaction Lab, this dedicated space is where science, design, and sport meet.
Located on the ground floor of the Citadel, the Sport Interaction Lab is envisioned as a place to research and design for an active society where movement is meaningful for all. The mission is to create a cohesive infrastructure to support the research and design of technology for sports and movement. It also connects researchers with local partners from industry (e.g., Movella) and society (e.g., FC Twente) to create a lively infrastructure for research on sports and movement.
