Reservation Guidelines
- You must be a student of Interaction Technology or Creative Technology, or HMI staff.
- You can reserve equipement for 2 weeks, unless you have explicit permission for your supervisor.
- The equipement is used for research and study-related work only, no personal use.
Exceptions to the guidelines can be made under special circumstances, please send us an email for this!

During the academic year equipment can be picked up and returned at our desk in Citadel H107 during the following timeslots:

Frequently asked questions
For how long can I reserve the equipment?
- Since we are sharing this equipment with each other, please don’t reserve it longer than needed
- Maximum duration of 2 weeks. This can be longer with supervisor permission and must always be extended via email
I want to change or extend my booking, is there a way to do that?
- Yes, this can be arranged if you contact us via email
What can I do if the equipment I Need is not on the booking system website?
- Make sure that you have spelled the name of the equipment correctly in the Booking system, otherwise, the equipment won't show up
- If the equipment still doesn't show up you can send us an e-mail
- In case we confirm via email that the equipment does not exist there are still some options:
- Perhaps the DesignLab, SmartXP, or BMSLab has the equipment that you are looking for
- If not, you can contact your supervisor or the Interaction Lab manager Daniel Davison to discuss other options
Detailed reservation steps
Step 1) Find the items you want to reserve
- Search available equipment or browse through categories
- Click on a product image or title to view details. From there, you can easily check availability on specific dates
- Press the button "Add to reservation" to add the item
- Continue browsing and adding equipment as needed
Step 2) Checkout your items
- Done? Open the "Shopping cart" in the top right corner to checkout
- Fill in the reservation period with your preferred pickup and return date
- You should create a personal account
- Fill in the required details (please use your @utwente email address)
- Please use the remarks field if you have questions or remarks about this reservation (e.g. if you want a specific piece of equipment 'HMI-xyz')
Step 3) Pick up your items
- Come pick up your items during your selected pick-up timeslot -- PLEASE BE ON TIME
- One of the lab team members will be present at the lab to hand the equipment over and finalize the booking
