Jurriaan Schmitz, head of the IDS research group, was elected "best online teacher of Electrical Egineering" of the academic year 2020-2021. This was the second time the prize was awarded based on the motivation of the students who nominate the teacher and taking into account the number of students taking a course. Amongst others the students appreciated the very elaborate feedback on the homework assignments and intermediate deliverables. He recieved the award from EE program director Cora Salm.
