Flow control system for organ-on-a-chip application a project by Bronkhorst High-Tech

Organ-on-a-chip systems can be used for many different applications, e.g. by creating miniscule models of the nose, mouth, eyes and lungs to understand how COVID-19 invades the human body. Joost Lötters, professor of Microfluidic handling systems at the University of Twente and Science Officer at Bronkhorst High Tech, has been working on flow control systems for organ-on-a -hip, in collaboration with Pim de Haan, Jean-Paul Mulder and Sabeth Verpoorte, from the Verpoorte group at Rijksuniveristeit Groningen.
