EEMCS has developed a plan to increase the value awarded to education performance. This plan will be tested during a pilot (in 2016/2017): the experiences of the participating teachers will determine the final plan (as of September 2017).
The goals of top quality education and increased appreciation of education performance go hand in hand. EEMCS wants to stimulate and support teachers to pursue professionalization. Teachers are being encouraged to continue to develop their skills to become excellent teachers and we are working on increased recognition and appreciation of education performance.
Parts of the plan are the continued development of education expertise (in accordance with the principles of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)), the establishment of a network of excellent teachers and the assignment of a reward system to these initiatives.
