'Student' Flowers computer science presented to Peter Heuvelink
Every quarter the educational committee of Computer Science presents a bouquet of flowers to a student that has shown outstanding motivation or dedication or positively contributed in surprising ways. This quarter, as an exception, the student flowers were awarded to an employee rather than a student: Peter Heuvelink from the roster team. Peter was responsible for scheduling activities for the new modules of the Twente Educational Model (Twents Onderwijs Model, TOM) as contact person to Computer Science. Peter managed to carry out logistically difficult scheduling requests, for instance scheduling for the module Data & Information 20 rooms for 5 to 6 students, an entire morning on every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, in a way that professors could walk from room to room in a short period of time. Peter has also shown to be good at improvising with last-minute requests for changes and when scheduling last-minute, unplanned meetings. Peters energetic, solution-oriented and friendly way of working was highly appreciated by the coordinators and teachers of the TOM modules.
New nominations can be send to the chairman of the Programme Committee CS.
