Flowers presented to Henk Mulder and Marije de Heus
First ‘student flowers’ computer science presented Every quarter the educational committee of Computer Science presents a bouquet of flowers to a student that has shown outstanding motivation or dedication or positively contributed in surprising ways. As the first, Henk Mulder and Marije de Heus, recently, each received a student bouquet. Arend Rensink nominated both students and also had the pleasure to present the flowers. From the nomination of Henk Mulder: I find it amazing that he as a blind student is able to pass courses where visualisation is an important factor (such as BaMi, foundations of computer science), whereas the course is not at all prepared for this.
From the nomination of Marije de Heus: as educational representative for InterActief, she played a very active role in passing on complaints to the exam committee. In my opinion, the exam committee does not hear enough about specific student complaints. Marije has lowered the barrier for such complaint procedures by making Inter-Actief an intermediate.
New nominations can be send to the Chairman of the Programme Committee.
