There are multiple non-academic abroad experiences to explore, such as a Summer School, a Study Tour or a Conference.
- Study Tour
International Study Tour
Many study associations organize (annual) study tours. A study tour usually lasts about a month and can be part of your minor programme when combined with extra subjects. Contact your study association for more information.
- Netherlands-Asia Honours Summer School (NAHSS)
For academic year 2024 - 2025 no grants from the UT will be available for this programme.
The Netherlands-Asia Honours Summer School (NAHSS) gives ambitious Bachelor students a chance to gain knowledge about Asia through a practical summer programme visiting South-East Asian countries. The NAHSS aims to enlighten its participants about all facets of South-East Asia and China through knowledge exchange and personal experience. The participants follow an extensive programme that informs them about the Asian academic world, business life and culture. The theme for 2024 is Navigating Change.
Application
For the summer programme in 2024, including a tript to Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City, UT may select approx. five students to be pre-nominated for a potential place in the programme. Ambition and motivation in the selection phase are key for a pre-nomination! The final selection is the hands of the NAHSS committee.
Application is open to second and third year Bachelor students. Fluency in English is essential. A Dutch nationality is not required for the 2024 programme (note: students need to apply for their own visas.)
Costs
UT will contribute financially to support approx. five students to participate in the NAHSS. The programme will also require a financial contribution from students to cover costs.
