Automate your certificate management with ACME and SURF certificates

Since the beginning of this year, the University has been obtaining its TLS and S/MIME certificates from HARICA (Hellenic Academic and Research Institutions CA). In the coming years, the validity period of TLS certificates will become increasingly shorter—starting at 200 days, and eventually lasting just over a month.

This shortened validity of TLS certificates requires automated issuance and management. SURF is organizing a webinar covering how the open ACME protocol works, how to implement it, and what it means for you. The webinar is intended for anyone who regularly requests TLS certificates for their own department or organization.

See https://www.surf.nl/agenda/automatiseer-je-certificaatbeheer-met-acme-en-surfcertificaten for more information and the link to the webinar on 16 September 2025 from 11:00 to 12:00.
