ERC Advanced grant workshop

Result

Senior reserchers will achieve a good understanding of: 

  • the ERC evaluation criteria and how and where to address these in the proposal; 
  • what makes an excellent PI according to the ERC evaluators of the different domains/panels; 
  • how to use the logic tree for grant writing, to prepare a competitive scientific proposal considering panel specificis and type of project.

  • ERC Grants: specific Advanced level considerations
  • Before you start writing: important aspects during preparation, including project development. 
  • The Principal Investigator and the Scientific Proposal: the ERC application
  • Question time, including individual assessment of next steps in preparing the ERC application.

    Senior researchers who have achieved recognition of excellence in their respective fields. Researchers must have basic knowledge of the pariticpation principles for ERC and be committed to pursuing an ERC Advanced Grant application in the 2020 call (deadline 26 August 2020).

  • Course fee

    This training will be paid from central funds. However, you do need persmission from you head of department. 

  • Maximum participants

    Maximum of 12 participants.

    Dr. Aya van den Kroonenberg, senior trainer of Yellow Research. 
    Telma Esteves, ERC grants advisor at the UT Grants office.

  • Course materials

    A printed copy of the slides will be provided during the training. Furthermore, course participants get electronic access to the complete set of course material. 

  • Requirements

    It is expected that the applicants contact Telma Esteves (grants-office@utwente.nlbefore the workshop to discuss ERC-basics, including eligibillity criteria. Futhermore, course participants are requested to send their CV by March 4 to Bruinewoud@yellowresearch.nl and grants-office@utwente.nl for review. 

    The template (ERC format: 2 page CV+2 page 10-year track Record+ Funding ID) will be provided by the Grant Office upon registration.
