CONTENT OF THE COURSE
This second grants in the Talent Programme of the NWO targets researcher who have several years of successful research, and want to expend or build up there independent research group. In this course, we will discuss the procedures and evaluation of the NWO VIDI Talent Scheme, to help you develop a Vidi proposal.
RESULT
Increasing your chances of acquiring a VIDI grant by:
- Learning about the procedures, success rate, and the evaluation criteria for the NWO VIDI grant
- Understanding when a research challenge is fit for a Vidi proposal
- Presenting your CV specifically for the VIDI grant.
- Understand how a proposal needs to be written in line with evaluation criteria.
SUPPORT
This training is given by external consultants of Yellow Research. The training is organized and paid centrally. Next to this training other support is provided by the UT Grants Office and each faculty. By registering for this course you will enter the UT support programme of the Vidi. This programme focuses on proposal feedback and review, expert referees, rebuttal, and interview preparation.
Please contact your faculty contact person (research support/faculty support or contract office) for more information about their support and the embedding guarantee (mandatory for submitting a VIDI application).

Researchers (min. 4 years and max. 8 years after promotion upon submission deadline, which is the first week of October 2022; do consider extension may apply) with a good CV and an innovative research idea who consider applying for an NWO-VIDI grant in 2022 round.

There will be two sessions for this support programme. There will be home-assignment to prepare.

- Session 2 Setting up CV, research and impact sections 10 May 2022 [ 13.00 till 17.00 on campus ]
To participate in the sessions, it is still required to subscribe through the CTD (below on the page) and to submit your CV to the Grants Office (grants-office@utwente.nl). Make sure that on this CV your official Ph.D. date (Date of defence) is stated.
- Course fee
This training will be paid from central funds. However, you do need permission from your head of department. Please inform the head of the department of the ambitions Vidi plans, if not yet discussed.

The attending researcher is eligible to apply for an NWO-VIDI grant.
At registration, you will receive an individual meeting request to go over your plans on a Vidi this year.
