The Faculty Behavioural Management and social Sciences embraces the United nations’s Sustainable Development Goals, enabling students to develop their capabilities to create sustainable value for business and society

SDG’s: A contribution to a more sustainable and inclusive economy 

As a higher education institution BMS wants to contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive global economy, and help build more prosperous societies by integrating universal values into curriculum and research. Our mission fits with the UN Sustainable Development Goals showing the importance of societal challenge and scientific relevance of our academic activities, curricula and organizational practices for a better world.

SDG and PRME

Since 2017 BMS is a signatory of PRME (Principles for responsible management Education). PRME is the largest voluntary engagement platform for academic institutions to transform their teaching, research, and thought leadership in support of universal values of sustainability, responsibility, and ethics.

Organisations that join PRME are expressing their conviction that higher education institutions integrating universal values of sustainability, responsibility and ethics into curricula and research can contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive global economy, build more prosperous societies. As a signatory of PRME we declare our willingness to progress in the implementation of the six Principles, starting with those that are more relevant to our capacities and mission.

Our target

We want to develop the capabilities of students to be future generators of sustainable value for business and society by incorporate the UN Sustainable Development Goals into our academic activities, curricula and organizational practices. (to help recruit talent with sustainability mindsets, skills and capabilities) 

  • Our first Sharing Information on Progress (SIP) Report will be ready in Januari 2019
    (a draft version of the SIP-report will be published on intranet approximately in October 2018)
  • SDG-award for students: more information will be available in August 2018
  • SDG-conference (day): more information will be available in autumn 2018
