Organisation: UT- assist with research |
Location: Enschede |
Period of internship: Nov 2026- Febr 2027 |
Description of Assignment |
Interoception, the sensing and interpretation of signals from one's own body, is increasingly proposed as a mechanism behind health behaviours such as eating, physical activity, sleep and substance use. A recent systematic review has shown that associations exist, but nobody has mapped how health psychology actually uses the concept. In this internship you will conduct a scoping review (PRISMA-ScR) of the health-psychology literature to answer: which behaviour-change theories and constructs give interoception a role, how interoception is measured, which interventions target it, and whether wearables and ambulatory physiological measures (heart rate, HRV, EDA) are involved. Products: a review report that can serve as the basis for a publication, a charting table and an evidence map. You will receive weekly supervision, join the HPT research meetings and can get a look inside ongoing research studies. We are looking for a student who enjoys both theory and methodology. |
