PSTS alumni Milou Jansen has been hired as a Project Coordinator at the Innovation Unit of UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme), working on the ‘International Guidelines for People-Centered Smart Cities’!
Their objective: A global framework that empowers national & local smart city regulations, policies, plans & strategies, to ensure that digital technologies contribute to making cities sustainable, inclusive, prosperous and respectful of human rights. Upcoming milestones will be hosting the first global expert meeting with all 31 selected experts, getting the thematic and regional consultancies running and kicking-off the global outlook study. This work was mandated by all 193 UN Member States.
