Maaike van der Horst was recently a guest on the Dutch philosophy podcast Filosofie in Actie to discuss her PhD project on the philosophy of sex robots.
Maaike talked about what it means to be human (and not a robot) from a Lacanian perspective, through the lens of sex robots. She also talked about desire, lack, human-likeness and which parts of the human we evade when we interact with a sex robot.
