Topic
Mindfulness has emerged as a promising approach to improving learning experiences because it focuses on learner well-being. Practising mindfulness improves present-moment awareness, thus reducing distractions and increasing student attention. Mindfulness can also greatly impact emotion regulation and reduce stress. This can translate into better academic performance. This is why mindfulness interventions are becoming increasingly popular in classrooms.
Method
In this study student(s) will design/select a short mindfulness intervention and implement it in conjunction with a pre-designed lesson. They will then compare learning outcomes with and without the intervention.
This is part of a larger project. Therefore, student(s) will collect data using wearable sensors and eye-trackers. Depending on your interest, you may choose to include 1 or more sensor data in your study.
